The brothers Roe from Lincolnshire decided to cooperate with Dorset to improve the environment by using waste heat to dry liquid digestate at their biogas plant. The system also includes a three step air cleaning system to avoid any smell, dust and ammonia emissions.
To dry liquid digestate directly from the digester, the dryer will be equipped with a back mixing system. In total 900 kW of heat from the CHP can be put to good use.
The end product is a granulate that can be easily spread and and contains high value on NPK.
Delivery in January 2016.
